The symposium will also host a series of Special Sessions, including:
1. A Special Session dedicated to Prof. Dr. Dan Grigorescu (University of Bucharest), with
the occasion of his 70th birthday
2. A Special Session dedicated to “Bio-Events related to Global Oceanic Anoxic Events
(OAE)”
The sessions of the Symposium will be held in English.
Abstract submission deadline is 10th of June 2011 (see attached Abstract Template)
Both oral and poster contributions are welcome. Poster dimensions should not exceed A0.
Oral presentations will only be accepted as PowerPoint presentation (.ppt or .pptx) to run on
a Windows-based computer attached to a videobeamer.
The Conference Proceedings will be published as volume(s) of the Acta Palaeontologica Romaniae

Registration fee: 150 EURO (includes bus transport starting, and returning to, Bucharest, 2
nights accommodation in double rooms, 3 lunches - 26, 27, 28 September -, and 2 dinners -
26, 27 September-, as well as Fieldtrip Guide).
Alternative registration fee of 175 Euro includes accommodation in single rooms.
2. THE HATEG COUNTY DINOSAURS GEOPARK, 3 days (Fieldtrip leaders - Professor Dr.
Dan Grigorescu, Lecturer Dr. Zoltan Csiki)
Date: September 26-28, 2011
Registration fee: 150 EURO (includes bus transport starting, and returning to, Bucharest, 2
nights accommodation in double rooms, 3 lunches - 26, 27, 28 September-, and 2 dinners -
26, 27 September -, as well as Fieldtrip Guide).
Alternative registration fee of 175 Euro includes accommodation in single rooms. Student
participants might benefit of free accommodation in the Berthelot Lifelong Education Center
(several beds within a large bedroom, modest conditions); in this case the registration fee is
100 Euro.

Registration fee: 110 EURO (includes bus transport starting, and returning to, Bucharest, 1
